It's a cool display. I like the split-square "pixels" that flip open and closed better than the more common flip-dot displays that have a circle that flips completely over. It was a part from a bus's display. The electronics controlling it was not available, but it had a comfortable connector and was already mounted on a PCB with traces forming a matrix and those double-diodes. I had to give it back and I am looking sometimes in eBay for them. I have found some similar ones there. But I never had luck at these auctions and they are seldom in for an attractive price. So I wish you good luck at eBay. If you have found some similar ones to the one above, please let me know. The controller can be built using an Arduino, too. Thank You !
