I like the split-square &quot;pixels&quot; that flip open and closed better than the more common flip-dot displays that have a circle that flips completely over.  The mechanical opening/closing action is fun to watch.  Very nice video!  Thanks for posting it.

		<description>I got it from a friend who got it from another friend that tried to get that thing running.
It was a part from a bus&#039;s display.

The electronics controlling it was not available, but it had a comfortable connector and was already mounted on a PCB with traces forming a matrix and those double-diodes.

I had to give it back and I am looking sometimes in eBay for them. I have found some similar ones there. But I never had luck at these auctions and they are seldom in for an attractive price.

So I wish you good luck at eBay. If you have found some similar ones to the one above, please let me know.

The controller can be built using an Arduino, too.
